IB課程 即國際組織IBO(International Baccalaureate Organization)為全球?qū)W生開設(shè)從幼兒園到大學(xué)預(yù)科預(yù)備的課程，近年來， IB課程 項目正以其教育思想和獨特的課程結(jié)構(gòu)，日漸引起世人的矚目。它的思想和實踐也開始超越" 國際學(xué)校 "的范圍，步入世界各地一些富有創(chuàng)新意識和兼容精神的普通中小學(xué)。

華美外國語學(xué)校以國家課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)為綱要，將中國教育的優(yōu)勢與IB教育理念相融合，打造了華美的“4+1+1”課程體系，即在一周的學(xué)習(xí)中，四天采用分科教學(xué)，完成國家規(guī)定的課程大綱，周五采用主題式 IB課程 教學(xué)。

With the national curriculum standards as the outline, Huamei Foreign Language School combines the advantages of Chinese education with IB educational philosophy, and creates a gorgeous and unique "4+1+1" curriculum system.

同時，學(xué)校還在每周開設(shè)了CAS課程(Creativity,Action,Service),它是一種綜合性質(zhì)的活動課程,是IB項目的核心課程之一。

此外，四天的分科教學(xué)也使用了IB理念下的超學(xué)科探究教學(xué)，把國家課程的語文、數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)、人文等學(xué)科的核心知識融合在探究單元中，使用概念驅(qū)動，結(jié)合實際生活，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)。在形式內(nèi)容豐富的課程中，著重培養(yǎng)孩子質(zhì)疑、探究、合作、動手等綜合能力，為孩子的終身學(xué)習(xí)打下堅實基礎(chǔ)。
